Slick Rock Trail mountain biking!

Some lady with a cackley piercing voice woke me up. Our campsite in the KOA was right across from the 7am pancake breakfast, and I think she was high on dough or something.

We hit Moab's famous Slick Rock bike trail (
http://www.utah.com/bike/trails/slickrock.htm). The guy at the Moab visitor center suggested that since we missed the standard 7am - noon window (avoiding the desert heat is key), take at least a gallon of water for each of us! I thought it was overkill but better to be safe than sorry (what's crazy is that we finished almost all of it). Totally sweet ride (kind of...there was a lot of walking the bike over the super technical stuff!)

Habs made a little buddy in the tent at the KOA. Who needs a stuffed animal when you can snuggle up with a little scaly guy!

The Slick Rock bike trail was awesome. It's basically a 10+ mile loop with painted markings on the rock surface that you follow. Felt great afterwards (a.k.a. we were spent!)

We tried to find a disc golf course in the outskirts of Moab(http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=1702). We gave up an hour into the trip out there after only going about 9 miles. It was a dirt/sand/rock road with some steep ascents/descents. The canyons at the bottom were huge and totally desolate!!
